Before you join
Have the Steam page for the edition you own open. The Demo is a separate app; do not assume that everyone can join the same room across editions. This is a preparation guide, not a report of hands-on testing.
Get a first group ready
Ask each friend to confirm the app name and installed version. Pick a host and an audio channel. Use the party checklist to check devices before opening the game. Keep room codes in your private chat, not in this site.
Read the room
The official store describes one teacher facing five player students among NPCs. Students make mischief while avoiding detection; the teacher watches for behavior that gives them away. Read the role guide before choosing a side.
Check your first round
Agree that the first round is for learning the displayed prompts, not chasing an unverified scoring trick. Rotate the teacher role when your room settings allow it. Note what surprised your group after the round.
If something goes wrong
If a friend cannot join, compare editions and versions before repeatedly recreating rooms. If audio fails, test the device in the operating system first. Use the troubleshooting guide for a one-change-at-a-time check.
Sources and context
Role and feature facts come from the sources below. Preparation and diagnostic steps are general advice, not hands-on test results. Use current in-game prompts for exact controls and item behavior.
