Fix the setup before restarting the class

Before troubleshooting

Write down the exact symptom: cannot join, no microphone input, no sound, or an action not responding. Note the app edition and version. These are general diagnostic steps; they are not a list of confirmed game bugs.

For microphone or audio issues

Test the intended microphone in system settings first. Check the input and output selected by your voice app, permissions and mute state. If your group uses external voice chat, test there separately from game audio.

For a room or connection issue

Compare editions and updates with the host. Check that Steam is online, then retry the invitation method shown in your build. Do not post private room codes publicly or enter them into unrelated websites.

For unresponsive controls

Return focus to the game window, close text inputs and read the current role prompt. If an overlay is involved, change one setting and retry. Keep a note of what changed so you can undo it.

When the checks do not help

Keep the exact error message, edition and steps that reproduce it. Look for relevant official Steam announcements or support information. Avoid untrusted executables, blanket firewall changes and promises of a guaranteed fix.
